Can I live in Ireland for six months?
I am a US citizen and I want to live in Ireland for six months but without a job. I have plenty of money to support myself, very comfortably, for over a year without a job. So I am wondering if I can if can stay for 6 months and if so what type of visa would i have to get?

Contact the Irish Embassy in the US, and ask them. You might think you have plenty of money, but that's in the US. It's frightening how fast money disappears here.
2 :
I would think the American Embassy in Dublin would be a good place to enquire, I don't think there would be any problem at with you visiting for 6 months if you don't intend to work, it would be if you intended to work that you would need a visa but this is their contact information to make sure http://dublin.usembassy.gov/contact_us.html

Personaly I wouldn't try it. There are better places to live or visit.

ehh not really because i live here but im not irish and it gets boring because nothing to do much here but lots of HOT girls who will just kiss you for no reason they'll just come up to you and ask you to meet them by meet they mean kiss.......... not much facilities but its ok people are friendly but stay away from knackers there like gangsters but gangsters are well worse by far knackers dont have guns they just mock you thats it and if your gonna go here good luck and you need a visa this country is probably reall safe no mean and criminals mostly drunk people but they dont mind you GOOD LUCK!!

You'd be surprised how quick that money will go down the drain.

Where would be a good place to live in Ireland in the Dublin area with public transportation to Rathcoole

Where would be a good place to live in Ireland in the Dublin area with public transportation to Rathcoole?
I will be teaching in Rathcoole and will need a place to live for four months. I will need to use public transportation to go to and from the school. What areas around Dublin should I look into? Any recommendations of places to look for housing accommodations as well?

I would suggest checking out www.rathcoolevillage.com you can find the public transport timetable there. I live in Rathcoole and from London - the public transport here is RUBBISH. One bus every hour or so and that is only from the centre of town. There are other places close by that you could live in ie Tallaght or Clondalkin? Check out www.daft.ie this is the website most Irish people use to post house shares/lets and the such like. GOOD LUCK!
2 :
I agree with the other poster the public transport to Rathcoole is terrible. There area few places near by that you might get somewhere. Would check out the transport first.. www.dublinbus.ie will help. Eh maybe contact the school you will be teaching in and see if they can help.

If I buy a UK Xbox Live and you live in Ireland

If I buy a UK Xbox Live and you live in Ireland ?
I live in ROI ( Republic of Ireland ) and I want to know if an UK Xbox Live account could work in my country ? So instead of paying 59.99 euro I can buy the 12 month subscription for 34.99 pounds on amazon but for a UK account. And if it does work would all the contents and services in the UK marketplace work and could be downloaded in Ireland and with an irish IP address ?

The best thing to do is to make an account with your region, but to use UK Live codes from the prepaid cards. Codes work in all countries; Microsoft Points don't though. I'm in the US and have traded codes with friends from Scotland and Wales whenever one of us needs one. You should have an account from your country because of the IP address and if you 360 breaks, you would need to use your address to send it in. If you made an actual UK account, it would require a UK home address. Actually, an even cheaper alternative would be to buy US or Canadian subscriptions. A US one is $35 on Amazon.com which is 20 pounds I think.
