Hi, the only way you will be eligible for a UK passport is if you claim one before you turn 18 and can prove permanent residence. The visa thing isn't quite right. Irish and UK passport holders have the same rights re. entry to the USA. Both can get a 90-day tourist visa. In terms of getting a green card, its better to be Irish, as you can enter the green card lottery. UK citizens are not allowed to enter as the UK is one of the countries deemed to have a high number of immigrants in the US. I'm not so sure about the differences between the two for entry to Australia, but as anyone from the EU under the age of 29 (I think) can apply for a 1-year working holiday visa, it's maybe not so important? While you're there, you may be able to get work with a company who would be willing to sponsor you to stay. Or if you are trained in an occupation they require, you'll have no bother at all in getting in. I'm pretty sure that UK passport holders face the same restrictions. It didn't used to be the case, but I think it is now.

Depends on your parents. If both were British, then yes. However it really doesnt matter to you. The visa rules are the same because you will have an E.U. Passport.

If you were born in the UK before 1st January 1983, you automatically qualify for a British passport but if you were born after that date it becomes a little more hazy. If you were born after 1st January 1983, I would contact the nearest British Embassy and ask to clarify the situation because there are some ifs and buts around Irish citizens resident in the UK and how their children qualifty for British citizenship. well...my first tip...go to collage....nearly all airlines require you to have a bachelors degree in some field or another.....at the same time or after...i would recommend going to your local flying club and getting some flying lessons.....even if its a small single engine prop..we all gotta start somewhere....aside from that i think that the ppl at the club will know something about the industry......I hope you get to where you are going....N good Luck M8!...i would also look into talking to a commercial pilot in your local community..!
