Ok so I'm 13 and I live in Northern Ireland but I want to be a US Navy SEAL. Wold I be able to join when I'm older even though I'm not American? how would I go about that?

You would have to be an american citizen first. Talk your parents into immigrating into the US. Or better yet. Enlist in the Marine Commandos and then apply for SBS Special Boat Squadron -- the same as seals

You will have a difficult time getting a Top Secret security clearance, although IF you come to the USA NOW! RIGHT NOW! Before your 16th birthday (Do lots of Exercise, study and do good in school!! study for the ASVAB), then you will be able to get into the Navy and eventually into the SEALs. Are you able to run 4 miles in 20 minutes?

dude your 13, your still a kid, you think this cause its all cool and looks fun, when you join your going to regret it alot. its hard work, do you think you can survive in freezing cold water for 2 days and nights without food or water. can you run 25 miles in one sitting do you have the balls to risk you life to go into enemy territory and possibly get killed? dude the seals is hard, you wont make it i promise you, only the elite of the elite make it, little 13 year olds that want to join for fame and coolness dont make it.

With your current status, No, you must be an American citizen to join the Navy SEALs. First you must get an Alien Residency which takes two years to get and then after an aditional three years to be able to apply for citizenship. And after you apply it take a supposed 6 months even although it very seldomly happens that fast. A different possible route after getting your alien residency is enlist in the Navy, serve for two years to get your citizenship and then put in a chit for BUD/S(SEAL training.) Good luck.

If your in N. Ireland you can go into the SBS, not so much if your from the South. As for going into the SEALs, apply for a permanent visa, once you get that there are fast track options to get your Citizenship if you join the Military, but you have to get your permanent visa first.
