Does anybody know what it was like to live in Ireland during the problems of the 70's

Does anybody know what it was like to live in Ireland during the problems of the 70's?
its just for history coursework. when i say problems i mean the catholic and protestant dispute i just need some facts about what it was like to live there. Oh we have learnt about bloody sunday the 13 civilians shot dead supected of having guns but they didnt :/

I don't - but you should ask this question in the Irish Travel section- there is bound to be someone there who remembers it. One of the defining moments in Irish history of the 1970's was "Bloody Sunday" -if you google that then you will find lots of articles. There is even a film about it.
