Anywhere on high ground because of bad flooding last winter no but seriously, i think wicklow is one of the best because its beautiful and not far from dublin
2 :
Dublin. It's the city with the beautiful River Liffey running through it, the lively temple bar, and many attractions such as Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse, Christ Church etc. Living in Dublin, you can also experience the more relaxed atmosphere in the mountains and visit places such as Powerscourt waterfall in one day.
3 :
Anywhere on the west coast, particularly Clare or Galway.
4 :
Dingle or Galway
5 :
It depends on what you like. Ireland is beautiful. The westcoast is very scenic and very friendly, whereas the east coast tends to have more to do. Lovely beaches all over and steeped in history. So thumbs up for Ireland (apart from the weather! lol)

I do live here. In my opinion. The North is better than the South and is far better value for money. Everything is so expensive down south and I also feel that Southerners are more selfish than Northerners - Especially in the East of the country - centred around Dublin and spreading outwards. I've friends in the West and it is Beautiful there - well worth a visit too. Guillaume D - Did I stereotype? I think not - I said it starts in the East and spreads out. AND is it the fault of northerners that southerners are coming up here - Not our fault that you all got so greedy down there and prices SKYROCKETED! And Nationalists and Unionists don't fight each other down there because protestants were forced to hide their identity down south for many many years! And if they had the audacity to marry a Catholic were forced to raise the kids Catholic - So get your facts straight before YOU generalise!
2 :
Belfast.
3 :
don't stereotype us southerners kevink! if loads of shops are closing down here, its because all the northern shops are stealing their customers.and we are very friendly people (and their are no fights between unionists vand nationalists)
4 :
I do live here. I'm from, and live in, the West, but spent some time living in Dublin too. ***************

There is around fifty thousand undocumented Irish living in America at the moment - and that would be a very conservative number!!
2 :
Hard to tell as there is still a significant number of undocumented Irish that would obviously not have been counted in the census. The number I found was 128,000 (number of U.S. residents born in Ireland), but that is the official number of immigrants. Seems low to me, but there it is. People of Irish descent, whether recent or in the distant past = millions. Americans are comprised mainly of German and Irish stock. Those are the two leading groups.
3 :
There's a few, although subtract 1 from the total. We've got Des Bishop over here.
4 :
24 and 1/2
