can Jamaican live in Ireland , on there passport

can Jamaican live in Ireland , on there passport?
i know we don't need visa to go to Ireland and if i am correct it stated that Ireland is one of the country Jamaican could visit visa free and stay unlimited . please let me know if this is true

NO ! This is not true, you will have to get a 'D' visa if you want to live in ireland as you are not EU citizens. A visa is required to enter ireland as well, and if a 'C' visit one you apply for, you can't stay over the stipulated time which is stamped in your passport, you have to leave and re-apply for the D VISA to stay there. You don't pay for a irish visa as a Jamaican national. You can also marry an EU citizen and that citizen can move and live with you in ireland under EU treaty rights as well, but not without a visa.
