Nory Ryan's Song by Patricia Reilly Giff ~ it's a story about the Irish potato famine and it is soooooooo good.

The Irish language is English, regardless James Joyce is widely thought the greatest in particular Ulysses and Dubliners. Check them out.

I absolutely love Eoin (pronounced Owen) Colfer! He wrote my fave books such as the Artemis Fowl series, Half Moon Investigations, and he is currently publishing an adult crime-noir book!

I particularly enjoy Oscar Wilde, particularly his plays, especially The importance of being Earnest" HIs fairy tales are quite good. If you like poetry, you can't beat William Butler Yeats. Trurl

Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series, and Eoin Colfer writes Artemis Fowl books. Morgan Llywelyn has done some great books. I loved the one on Finn McCool and the one on Grace the pirate queen.
