May be moving to New Zealand with my 15 year old childer. want to know if its a good place for him. Im moving to auckland.

I think it would be a good place New Zealand is one of the safest countries in the world, and there is lots of things to do and get involved in in auckland.

I can't say I've only visited Ireland. In any case it's hard to generalise. There's good and bad places everywhere.

I would say New Zealand is better. Oh and "Balla" I would say that New Zealand is more hilly and greener then Ireland if not equal. In land mass New Zealand is bigger then Ireland, but has a way smaller population. People are pretty friendly and peaceful, we haven't had a war in NZ since the mid-late 1800's. Oh and if you didn't know already, a slogan that is often used to describe New Zealand is "Clean and green"

New Zealand is awesome, i never want to leave. Its just so homely. I used to live in Auckland. But now i live in the country The weather is warmer than everyone thinks and it doesn't even rain much!! Climate approx (Auckland summer: 28 degrees celcius Spring: 20 degrees celcius Winter: 16 degres celcius Autumn: Hotter than Summer but colder towards the end of Autumn. The food here is awesome. If you like meat! heaps of meat, vegetables, fruit, dairy products. Here's a tip, dont live in south Auckland, preferably North or Central. I used to live in North Shore Auckland. Beautiful Scenery (actually more greener than ireland, and more hilly) Auckland has something like 50 volcanoes. but dont worry. School is great. I went school in Auckland for 8 years now 14 and some. Oh and you can actually get a good tan in New Zealand. Best rugby team in the world!!!! The south island is like another country though, glaziers, snowy alps. ETC. But heaps of people sitll live there. And this year we won cleanest country in the world. And it isn't just full of sheep and cows by the way. Take a look at lord of the rings. New Zealand was set there. I love New Zealand

New Zealand is better as it has a low population and education is a lot better here because it costs low. He's gonna have a lot of friends here when he starts to study.

Someone posted this on another question : Yup ! We smoke the most weed than any other country in the world per person and 4th in the world for gang violence. I live in Auckland, and have 6 tinnie houses (drug dealin cribs) that are within walking distance of my street so yea its real common around hurr. But i dont agree ... ive been living here (NZ) all my life and have never experienced any violence in my community. Most south Auckland Schools are of low decile and the education isint that good (As you can tell)... New Zealand is a very multicultural place with lots of maori, pacific islanders, asian, indians and europeans and more ... But Ireland .... Has History .... it has the old english feeling and is very diffrent (proberly totally opposite then NZ ) ..... Ireland is strict ... NZ is slack and laid back ! Over here we are all one people and yes there is crime here but its just like any other place in the world ... Stay away from South Auckland especially Otara if you want your 15 year old to live a long happy safe life ... To much gangs and shootings ... in South Auckland ! Where ever you chose .. do some research before you waste money ... You dont want to end up poor and unhappy living in a place where someone said was "GREAT" ! Do what you want to do and dont listen to us - the people who really dont care about your future but the points we get from answers dumb questions like this ....

I think for the first time in 1000 years you're better off staying in Ireland. Did you know that Ireland is now the 3rd wealthiest country in the World (GDP per capita)? Why would you want to move to a country on the way down (#28 and falling)? Auckland is beautiful but NZ is a spiritual and artistic wasteland. But then again I'm biased I left 5 months ago for SE Asia cos I was sick of NZ and the small minds and the petty bs. To be honest, the craick is shite, the pay is low the cost of living high and there's a lot of braindead dickheads. Many of my relatives are moving to Australia. New Zealnad is highly overrated.
